Dr. Greg Rogers

Greg recently concluded a 35-year term as the Senior Pastor at Oakmont Baptist Church in Greenville, North Carolina. His leadership extends beyond the church walls, as he has actively served in various capacities on community and denominational boards, agencies, and councils. Renowned as a mentor to mentors, Greg has been instrumental in developing and leading initiatives aimed at helping pastors and churches thrive in an ever-evolving culture.

Educationally, Greg holds a B.A. degree in philosophy and religion from N.C. State University, complemented by Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Certified as an ICF Associate Certified Coach and High-Performance Patterns coach, Greg channels his expertise into coaching individuals, congregations, and businesses. Additionally, he serves as a sought-after speaker and retreat leader. Drawing from his over 46 years of experience in pastoral ministry, he brings a wealth of spiritual and pastoral insights to the coaching relationship. His coaching endeavors cover a broad spectrum, from exploring mission, vision, and core values to addressing spiritual formation, missional engagement, ministry and work transitions, and personal issues.

Greg enjoys leisure in competitive tennis, biking, and reading outside his professional pursuits. He shares a fulfilling 43-year marriage with Leslie, a retired community college administrator. Their family includes a son and daughter, both happily married, and they are joyfully blessed with five grandchildren.
