Guy Sayles is a dedicated advocate for clergy and their congregations, bringing a thoughtful and compassionate approach to his work. Following a 13-year pastorate at First Baptist in Asheville, NC, and a four-year tenure as a faculty member in the religion department at Mars Hill University, Guy has become a respected coach and consultant.
In addition to his role as an adjunct faculty member at the Divinity School of Gardner Webb University, where he works with D.Min students and teaches congregational leadership, Guy is deeply involved in teaching, preaching, and writing. His commitment to fostering clergy and congregational health and depth is evident in his collaboration with CHC.
With a particular focus on leading through processes of lament, especially in the post-COVID context, Guy welcomes discussions with individuals or congregations interested in his guidance.
